EOFY Compliance Deadlines & Key Dates

As the financial year comes to a close, it is important to keep track of key deadlines and compliance obligations. Missing important dates can result in penalties, interest charges or unnecessary administrative issues.

Below are some of the key dates and actions businesses should be aware of over the coming months.

Before 30 June 2026

✓ Ensure superannuation contributions are received by the fund before 30 June if you intend to claim a deduction this financial year.

✓ Complete a stocktake where required.

✓ Write off bad debts that are genuinely unrecoverable.

✓ Review obsolete or damaged stock and business assets.

✓ Finalise trust distribution decisions and trustee resolutions where applicable.

✓ Ensure bookkeeping and accounting records are up to date.

From 1 July 2026

Payday Super Commences

From 1 July 2026, employers will generally be required to ensure superannuation contributions are paid to employees’ super funds within seven business days of payday.

Businesses should review their payroll and superannuation processes to ensure they are prepared for the new requirements.

By 14 July 2026

Single Touch Payroll Finalisation

Employers should generally finalise their Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting by 14 July 2026.

This allows employees to access their income statements and complete their tax returns.

By 28 July 2026

Quarterly Super Guarantee Due

Superannuation Guarantee contributions for the quarter ending 30 June 2026 are due by 28 July 2026.

June 2026 Quarterly BAS Due

For businesses lodging their own Business Activity Statements, the June 2026 quarterly BAS is generally due by 28 July 2026.

By 25 August 2026

June 2026 Quarterly BAS Due (Extension Via a Tax Agent)

Businesses whose BAS is lodged through us as your registered tax agent may be eligible for the extended due date of 25 August 2026.

By 28 August 2026

Taxable Payments Annual Report Due

Businesses operating in certain industries, including building and construction, cleaning, courier, road freight, IT and security services, may be required to lodge a Taxable Payments Annual Report with the ATO by 28 August 2026.
